GIF Brewery & Captions Adding Text

This tutorial starts off where the previous tutorial ended.

Adding a caption to your GIF is really simple in GIF Brewery. Just press the "Caption" button in the toolbar or access the GIF > Add Overlay > Add Overlay Caption... item in the menu.

As you might have noticed, under the GIF > Add Overlay option, you may also use an image as your overlay.

Once I've selected the Caption option, a panel will appear that allows me to edit and add the caption. As you can see, there are options to change the caption's font and its color. You may also add a stroke to increase the legibility of the text.

As a teaser, a better caption / overlay system will be coming in GIF Brewery 2.2, a free update scheduled for the second quarter of 2013.

Once I've added the caption, it will be placed in the lower left of the GIF. However, it is not stuck there. You can move a caption or overlay at anytime by simply dragging it about. Here I've moved the caption to the top right.

As in the previous tutorial, I create the GIF by clicking the "Create GIF" button.

Happy GIF Brewing!
